RICHARD D. FLOREY

Source: Covington Friend Friday May 31, 1912 (thanks so much to J. Leek for this one :)

Richard Florey, after several months of intense suffering from heart trouble, gave up the struggle abut 9:30 o'clock on Sunday evening at his home about six miles SE of Attica. He had been afflicted for several years but for the past months had been unable to leave the house. Mr. Florey was born in Richland Township about 48 years ago, but for many years he had lived in Shawnee Township. He was the oldest son of John Florey and is survived by the widow and 5 children, his father, two brothers, Clint and Charles and one sister, Mrs. Ed Hart. Dick Florey was a good citizen, a hard worker and a man whose word could always be relied upon. His family has the sympathy of all in their deep sorrow. The funeral was conducted on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and the remains laid to rest in the Beulah Cemetery.
